Easy walking today as we said goodbye to Viana and followed the”Way” through many more vineyards, over the Rio Ebro into Logroño, an ancient stop on the Camino and capital city of La Rioja. We arrived just as the week-long Fiesta de San Matteo ends and the Wine Festival begins. Here the sacred and the secular are woven together in the seamless fabric of life.
