The main roof beam in the church has now been repaired and the work is guaranteed for twenty years.
The scaffolding is still there to give time for the resin to set but will be dismantled at the beginning of the week and everything will be cleared up.
I’m very grateful to Liam Gault for overseeing the work.
Take a look at the failed beam displayed in the oratory if you want a fright!
Photos of the completed work can be viewed there too.
Invitations to tender will soon be sent out for the redevelopment of the transept into the new Multi-function Area.
Drawings and detailed plans for this area will be put on display to keep everyone up to date on what is proposed.
