Michael and Estelle are walking the Camino de Santiago de Compostela
Our ascent this morning took us up through ribbons of clouds above lush green valleys teeming with wildflowers and bird life – red kites and eagles circling on the thermals. We walked part of the way with Tommy from Kilkenny, Ireland and Dave from Virginia, USA, everyone has a story to tell. We also gave First Aid to a Spanish cyclist who had a bad fall of his bike just as he reached the summit! Around 12.30 our Refuge, Auberge Orisson appeared out of the mist, the sun gradually burning off the last of it to reveal the Valleys of Navarre.
